“In A Perfect World” – New Exhibit at Gallery F
“In a Perfect World,” the new exhibit at Gallery F in Logan Square features cool, unique works of art in mixed mediums by NiceOne and LUCX. The work on Gallery F’s walls may look familiar to you- NiceOne and LUCX are street artists, and their pieces can be found throughout Chicago on the walls of abandoned buildings and plastered within Wicker Park alleys. Chicago is making its way into the art scene as new galleries and events such as 2nd Fridays in Pilsen make art more accessible and readily available. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here’s my top pick for you. Check out photos and the inspiration behind the work after the jump!
Emeli Sandé @ Lincoln Hall 1/22
Emeli Sandé, the 25-year-old talented artist from London, played Tuesday to a sold out Lincoln Hall crowd. Sandé is already a huge artist in the UK, performing in both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics, and selling more copies of her album Our Version of Events than any other artist in 2012 in the UK. With honest lyrics, a gospel-infused sound and a pure vocal range, Sandé wowed her audience Tuesday night. If you haven’t listened to this girl yet, make sure you find her on Spotify ASAP. Check out photos from the show after the jump!
New Years Eve 2012 – What To Wear
There are two days left to put together the perfect outfit for one of the most hyped-up nights of the year- New Years Eve. Whether your plan is to check out a new bar in the city or get together with friends at a house party, this is one of the only nights of the year where it’s completely acceptable to look like a disco ball in sequins. Stay classy in black, sparkle in gold, or go bold in my personal favorite- blue. Girls and guys, check out the photos below for a little inspiration for putting together your look!

“Chloé. Attitudes” at Le Palais de Tokyo in Paris
I made a quick trip to Paris last weekend for two days of adventuring through the amazingly beautiful city. Exploring the “Chloé. Attitudes” exhibit at Le Palais de Tokyo was one of the highlights of my trip.
The exhibit, a collection of photos, garments and sketches of designs, illustrates the spirit of the Chloé brand on its 60th anniversary. The collection features pieces from Chloé’s nine essential designers, and visitors are invited to tour a still runway show of mannequins dressed in Chloé garments lining the walls of the Parisian contemporary art museum.

Top Fall Fashion Trends for Guys
We gave you our top picks for girls’ fall fashion a few weeks ago, but we didn’t want to leave the guys hanging. Check out our list of what’s hot and a must-try for guys this fall. And they say Chicagoans don’t have style? False.
1. A Patchwork Shirt
Stand out from the flannel craze by opting for a patchwork shirt instead. The quilt-like pattern below is more interesting than the standard checkers on a flannel, and the attached hood on the button-down keeps the look even more unique.
Shirt: Cheap Monday; pants: Shipley & Halmos; shoes: Red Wings

2. Nicki Minaj
Ah Nicki Minaj. She’s had so many outrageous outfits this past year, it was hard to choose just one look for Halloween. Hey, why not put an ice cream cone around your neck and grab some inflatable pool toys? The more ridiculous the accessories, the better.
