Pygmalion 2013 Round Up: Daughter, Head and the Heart

My fourth and final Pygmalion as a student is officially over and what a way to go out. The Krannert Center opened the festivities, with one of the UK’s most talked about groups, Daughter, kicking it off. They were joined by Head and the Heart, the Pacific-Northwest folk-rockers touring in support of their upcoming release Let’s Be Still. Check out pictures and reviews below. Stay tuned for the annual Pyggy Crown tomorrow!

The Best “Get Lucky” Covers and Remixes

Yup, I’m still playing this song on repeat. Stuck in my head since the first clip at Coachella, Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” released on the duos masterful Random Access Memories, has seen numerous covers and remixes since the day it officially dropped. Week that Was (10-18-12 to 10-24-12)

Time for some new music. This week’s “Week that Was” features a lot of stuff I love, especially the Bago and Steffaloo tracks. Steffaloo’s album “Would You Stay” dropped earlier this week, and you can download the Bago mixtape right here. As far as the Mistah F.A.B. song, the 3rd verse is left open on purpose, with F.A.B. encouraging fans to record their own remixes. If you choose to do that, we’d love to hear them! Enjoy the rest, and let us know what we missed! Don’t forget to enter our contest for free Daughter/Choir of Young Believers tickets right here!
