Music’s Super Bowl was last night, and the stars were out in full force. Thanks to a zero-tolerance policy for lip-syncing, all performances were required to be live, helping us decide who really has it. Video of the Week: Black Lips vs. Holograms

While everyone all over the nation was talking about the Tupac “hologram” (read: “non-physical illusion”) standard set by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, the Black Lips once again proved their place at the forefront of cutting edge music culture  when they were joined by a “physical illusion” of Notorious B.I.G. for an unprecedented onstage collaboration.

You read that right. Black Lips and Big Poppa. Flower punk and hip-hop. Simply magic.
