Rockie Fresh – Electric Highway [Mixtape Download]

Chicago’s very own Rockie Fresh gets some amazing production from Lunice, The Gift, and more, and some big name features, including the bawse Rick Ross and Curren$y in his debut MMG mixtape, Electric Highway. I see a bright future for this kid, with Ross crafting him into Big Sean 2.0. After one listen, I’m really impressed… without a doubt an improvement from Driving 88. Download below, and stream some tracks from the tape as well. Enjoy!

G.O.O.D. Music Made In America 2012 Performance

Jay-Z’s Made in America festival ended last night with a bang, with Hova bringing out Throne partner Kanye West and the rest of the G.O.O.D. Music crew. If you missed it, press play to to hear the crew run through “Mercy,” “I Don’t Like (Remix),” and a bunch more. The things I would have done to have been at this festival….

I think it’s safe to say hip hop has officially risen.

And paging Young Money…. you guys there?

Week that Was (5-3-12 to 5-9-12)

Even finals week can’t stop the music. This week’s “Week that Was” features the return of Passion Pit, one of my favorites in SebastiAn, a kick ass band from Britain, and more great music coming from the Savemoney crew. As always, let us know what we missed!

Week that Was (2-1-12 to 2-8-12)

Music! New music! Every Wednesday expect a post featuring 7-10 songs from the past week, with downloads usually there too. If this gains steam, I’ll include a zip download link with all the songs. Think of this as your weekly ACITM playlist, full of songs and artists you would never expect to appear in the same post together.

To start it off…

Fki – We In There (feat. Travis Porter) [Prod. By DJ Spinz, Heroes and Villians, and Fki]
