J. Cole – Truly Yours [Mixtape Download]

Mixtape Cole is back with Truly Yours. We’ll let the man himself summarize this one…

It’s time. I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space).

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..
The wait is over.
Truly Yours,
Born Sinner

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.

THEMpeople – Smoke Breaks [Download]

THEMpeople dropped a beat tape today, which you can download below. Here’s what they had to say about it:

Smoke Breaks is a light compilation of Soul and Electronic experimentation. Our smoke break series will be a Bi weekly presentation of instrumental music inspired  sonically by our compositions/conversations with a multitude of soul and electric based artists. For the past 2 years weve been trying to find a comfortable center that encompasses a Futuristic/Vintage sound. This selection of beats represent the foundation of a sound we like to call Glitch Soul or Soul Fi… As the series develops in the coming weeks we will share more of our evolution based on this sound. Smoke Break series also contains some instrumentals used in our Visual documentary projects.

Listened to this walking around town and was vibin hard with the Chicago based production crews sounds. Really good stuff. Take a listen to see if you like it.

Pusha T – Wrath of Caine (Mixtape w/ Download)

The long awaited Wrath of Caine is finally here. G.O.O.D. Music’s Scottie Pippen brings fans an 11 track mixtape, with Pusha getting help from Rick Ross, Wale, French Montana and more. You knew the production was going to be on point, it is, and the fire in Pusha’s raps really set the bar high for his upcoming album, My Name is My Name.  Here’s what he has to say about the mixtape…

When I drop music, I aim to make u muthafuckas cry!! My true fans/family know I strive for perfection. If Def Jam is waiting on my album, what the fuck makes u think u aint gonna wait on this mixtape? It’s like when a women/man is a virgin, if u love that bitch/nigga U WILL WAIT!!

Rockie Fresh – Electric Highway [Mixtape Download]

Chicago’s very own Rockie Fresh gets some amazing production from Lunice, The Gift, and more, and some big name features, including the bawse Rick Ross and Curren$y in his debut MMG mixtape, Electric Highway. I see a bright future for this kid, with Ross crafting him into Big Sean 2.0. After one listen, I’m really impressed… without a doubt an improvement from Driving 88. Download below, and stream some tracks from the tape as well. Enjoy!
