Where You Should Be This Thursday: New Beginnings presented by The Numbered Days *WIN FREE TICKETS*

Ever wondered what it would be like if TED Talks had a soul/funk after party? We’re going to be checking out New Beginnings this coming Thursday to hear talks from leaders on how to build successful organizations and make an impact in Chicago. Following the talks there will be an awesome soul/funk DJ set and other festivities.

Want free tickets? Like Acityinthemidwest on Facebook and comment on the post letting us know your favorite venue in the city!

Each speaker will present a message on making a new beginning. The local lead for Chicago+Acumen will be discussing how to begin making a meaningful social impact in the world. A Director from The Chicago Arts District will talk about how to start finding art in life. And the founders of CheekyChicago will speak on following your passion to build a community. After the talks, an awesome DJ set from local player Kody Madro (Soundcloud) will spice up the night along with pictures from party-favorite Smilebooth.

theres a lot of cool venues in chicago, but out of all the ones ive been to, i think house of blues is my fave. yea, the drinks are pricey as hell, but they have a cool restaurant attached, i love the decor and the feel of it inside…kinda blues-y but still really recent n cool.
