Gemstones “Rolling in the Deep”

One of my favorite rappers, Gemstones, makes a vicious return to the scene with this one. Elephant in the Room set to drop soon. Check out the remix of Adele’s hit below.

Kendrick Lamar “The Jig is Up” (Produced by J.Cole & Canei Finch) [Download]

I thought their collaboration was never going to see the light of day, but I now have hopes again. Maybe this is sign of good things to come…  Check it out below. Cole has been on a mean streak production wise lately, thoughts?

Top Fall Fashion Trends for Guys

We gave you our top picks for girls’ fall fashion a few weeks ago, but we didn’t want to leave the guys hanging. Check out our list of what’s hot and a must-try for guys this fall. And they say Chicagoans don’t have style? False.

1. A Patchwork Shirt

Stand out from the flannel craze by opting for a patchwork shirt instead. The quilt-like pattern below is more interesting than the standard checkers on a flannel, and the attached hood on the button-down keeps the look even more unique.

Shirt: Cheap Monday; pants: Shipley & Halmos; shoes: Red Wings

Kids These Days “Bud Biliken”

Another track off the sure to be classic, Traphouse Rock. Name another band currently killin it like Kids These Days… not even 20, touring all over the US after shutting down Conan, with incomparable-to-anyone music. It can’t be done. If Derrick Rose is Chicago’s Bull, Kids These Days are slowly growing into Chicago’s band. Check it out!

Big Sean “Guap”

The track produced by Chicago’s own Young Chop and Key Wane just dropped, and OH GOD, I’m feelin’ it. Love the tropical background on the beat. Check it out below.

Week that Was (10-18-12 to 10-24-12)

Time for some new music. This week’s “Week that Was” features a lot of stuff I love, especially the Bago and Steffaloo tracks. Steffaloo’s album “Would You Stay” dropped earlier this week, and you can download the Bago mixtape right here. As far as the Mistah F.A.B. song, the 3rd verse is left open on purpose, with F.A.B. encouraging fans to record their own remixes. If you choose to do that, we’d love to hear them! Enjoy the rest, and let us know what we missed! Don’t forget to enter our contest for free Daughter/Choir of Young Believers tickets right here!
