The on-fire and in-demand Alabama Shakes will return to Chicago in September for an intimate performance at the Subterranean. The soul rock band, spearheaded by Brittany Howard, has been riding the fame wave in recent months, packing crowds during festival appearances.
Rain kept the band from living their first Lollapalooza experience when thunderstorms forced festival-goers out of Grant Park for a few hours during Saturday’s lineup. The demand for the Alabama Shakes in Chicago is huge, and this time rain will not keep the band from performing in the Windy City.
Up-and-coming bands The Pollies and Doc Daily will fill out the “Dream Show” bill. The Alabama Shakes “Dream Show” powered by American Family Insurance is free; head to http://www.facebook.com/amfam to RSVP!
