NYC-based FLüD Watches recently collaborated with singer, song writer, and producer Mayer Hawthorne (one of ACITM’s favorites). The two collaborated for a special edition “TABLETURNS” timepiece. Once recognized as “DJ Haircut” and being an avid record collector, it’s easy to figure out the design inspiration behind the timepiece.

Friday afternoon EXPRESS held an outdoor fashion show in front of “The Bean” in Millennium Park in Chicago featuring their Fall 2012 collection. EXPRESS has staged similar runway events in New York, Las Vegas, Miami and Dallas, and with the beautiful Chicago skyline in the background, the event was a major success.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes created a psychedelic folk rock love fest for the sold out and sweaty Riviera Theatre Thursday night. Led by pseudo messiah and lead vocalist Alex Ebert, the band produced an almost spiritual invigoration of music and sound for fans under the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes trance.
Who doesn’t like a dancing ATM machine and flying dollar bills? The new video from Fool’s Gold’s A-Trak and Dillon Francis features an ATM machine that comes to life to roam the streets and clubs of New York City. With appearances by Greg Nice and P-Thugg of Chromeo, the video and beats prove once again that anything A-Trak puts his name on is, like his label, golden.
You’re going to see Lupe Fiasco perform hits off his upcoming album, probably some time late Sunday night. And why would you miss Atmosphere… probably closing the festival down as the last act in their home state. While everyone all over the nation was talking about the Tupac “hologram” (read: “non-physical illusion”) standard set by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, the Black Lips once again proved their place at the forefront of cutting edge music culture when they were joined by a “physical illusion” of Notorious B.I.G. for an unprecedented onstage collaboration.
You read that right. Black Lips and Big Poppa. Flower punk and hip-hop. Simply magic.
