New Cassettes Return to Chicago – October 12th @ Empty Bottle

Our favorite band from Northampton is back in Chicago, opening for White Arrows and Family of the Year this Friday, October 12th, at the Empty Bottle. We had a chance to cover the band back in March and they were great. Frontman Tom Stubbs never stops dancing, moving all over the stage getting down to the bands infectious melodies. If you make it out to the Empty Bottle to catch these guys, you won’t be disappointed. Especially since tickets are only $8!

We Were Promised Jetpacks/Bad Veins/New Cassettes @ Bottom Lounge (Pictures & Review!)

Scotland’s very own We Were Promised Jetpacks performed in Chicago’s West Loop hub, the Bottom Lounge, this past Friday night. Backed by Bad Veins and New Cassettes, the show sold out a couple of hours before it started, and ACITM had the pleasure of attending. Check out pictures and reviews below!

We Were Promised Jetpacks @ The Bottom Lounge (3/23)

We Were Promised Jetpacks head to the Bottom Lounge this Friday, March 23rd, where they are set to perform at 9 PM. The four-piece post-punk/indie-rock group from Edinburgh, Scotland that has toured with the likes of Bear Hands and Jimmy Eat World, has been a long time ACITM favorite. I had the chance to catch the band at West Fest in 2010, and they blew me away. A band that far eclipses their recorded sound live, nowadays, is almost impossible to find – but WWPJ does just that. The band provides a powerful, emotional, frenetic yet perfectly balanced sound that hooks you within minutes.
