The White Mandigos (Murs, Ego Trip, Sacha Jenkins) – The Ghetto Is Trying To Kill Me

West Coast veteran rhyme-slayer Murs, Bad Brains founding member Darryl Jenifer, and Ego Trip co-creator Sacha Jenkins SHR have teamed up to form The White Mandingos, announcing the release of their debut full length, The Ghetto is Tryna Kill Me, on June 11th, 2013 through Fat Beats. The album is a hugely ambitious concept record told from the perspective of Tyrone White, a rock band frontman from Harlem’s Polo Grounds housing project. Jenifer and Jenkins production style is boundless, blurring the boundaries separating hip hop, hardcore punk, metal, and R&B, providing the album’s narrative with a vivid, enveloping sonic backdrop.

Little Big Orchestra – Experiment 626

After being absent from the outside world for about a year and a half, Good Ratio Music presents their new release from Little Big Orchestra, who is debuting a project named Experiment 626. It contains a bunch of mysterious sounds clashing with deep, dark sequences, which makes this creation different than the usually offered tones of GRM.

The music unlocks a very intimate side of the artist, songs made by broken beats, pitched voices and profound themes that will take the listener to another universe. The contrasting fragile and strong metallic tones makes it a unique and special piece.

J. Cole – Truly Yours [Mixtape Download]

Mixtape Cole is back with Truly Yours. We’ll let the man himself summarize this one…

It’s time. I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space).

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..
The wait is over.
Truly Yours,
Born Sinner

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share.
